Submissions
in esse generally welcomes submissions in response to calls for papers on particular themed issues. Every other year, in esse publishes selected papers presented at the ASSE biennial international conference on British and American Studies.
The journal also welcomes reviews of books, edited volumes and monographs in the field of English studies.
All proposals go through a double-blind review process before publication.
Notes for Contributors
in esse is concerned with publishing original work in linguistics, literature, translation studies and language teaching by scholars working in Albania and abroad. The journal appears twice a year (Spring and Autumn) and invites contributions in response to calls for papers on themed issues in any of the (or related) fields specified below:

Contributions should not exceed 6000 words. A 250-word abstract and 4-5 keywords should also be included. Papers exceeding this word limit and approved of for publication in themed issues may be agreed with the General Editor. Articles are to be sent as an e-mail attachment to Dr. Armela Panajoti (armelap@assenglish.org), General Editor of the journal.
Please follow the Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition) for citation. Publication guidelines can be found here. An article published in one of the previous issues of in esse has been provided as a sample to use for formatting. Further queries should be addressed to the General Editor at armelap@assenglish.org.
All submissions are initially assessed by the General Editor to determine that they fall within the scope of the journal and conform to the Publication guidelines. Submissions that comply with the above are sent out for external review.
To ensure a fair review, efforts are made to
maintain the anonymity and confidentiality of the peer-review process by
not releasing the identities of the reviewers to authors during and
after the review process. For more about the duties of the parties
